The arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, introduced by Mahinda Thera in the 3rd century BCE, marked a transformative era for Anuradhapura. Sri mahabodiya ,Ruwanweliseya and so many buddhist temples are there.Also large tanks like Thisa wewa,Nuwara wewa also there.Very attarctive place to visit. Its close to the ancient city of Anuradhapura (about 10mins by car). The hotel has a good restaurant and Mango (a great Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant) is 15min walk down the road. The rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and large. All the rooms look over rice paddies. The pool is perfect after a hot day touring the ancient city.
