Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

The best stay we had in our entire trip around Sri Lanka! Just can’t recommend it enough! Very clean room, big clean bathroom with hot shower and an amazing yard with lake view. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, some of the best meals we had. Lovely host and very attentive with our needs. Hardworking staff - the results are impeccable. They also arranged a wonderful safari trip, we would like to also thank Indika for making sure we have an amazing experience! Thank you Saffron Lake Yala! 🥰

Clean and lovely in a beautiful location. The family are so warm and welcoming. They accommodated our dietary requests easily and we’re very sweet to our children. The lake front is picturesque, delicious home cooked and garden harvested food, and our trip to Kataragama was unforgettable. Such warm hospitality from our hosts. One of the best stays in all of Sri Lanka.

Literally everything was perfect! Host is such a kind and caring person. WiFi works great, view from terrace is stunning, room is extremely clean with hot water. Food they offer is very delicious, they offer different kinds of curry, all of them are great. When I went for safari she even prepared a breakfast for takeaway for me. I’d definitely come back again.

This property is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The room is fascinating. Very modern bathroom. The food that Indica cooks is unbelievable good. He is a real master chef 👩‍🍳. The whole family is great. We have new friends. They made us nearly cry when we had to go. Because of people like this, we will definitely come back to this beautiful country.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Took us on a walk around the lake, organised a safari and kept our 2 year old constantly supplied with banana's. The room was also bigger than expected with and additional small room we didn't see in the photos with a fridge and kettle.

This was our second stay at the coconut gardens, we came a few years ago and both stays have been fantastic, the staff are wonderful the rooms are great and the pool is lovely. The restaurant served very good food and the breakfast was great ! They also organised safaris for us which were amazing and our driver was brilliant. The coconut gardens was one of our favourite stays of our whole trip !
