We had amazing stay in this beautiful room! Villa is very cozy and comfortable. Also you can use clean and big kitchen with fridge, toaster and microwave. Most of all i liked the manager and owner Silva, he answered on all our questions and helped us a lot, also we was really happy with local food and especially breakfasts. I highly recommend this villa to everyone, quite cheap comfortable and cozy place ❤️

From the time you step into this beautiful property, you are made to feel special. The staff is so attentive and willing to go the extra mile to cater to your specific needs. Villa 42 is, in short a hidden gem. For anyone looking for comfort, privacy and wonderful hospitality they won't get any better than this lovely villa just half a mile or so from gorgeous (mostly empty) beaches and several decent restaurants (ask Siri for recommendations). Siri will provide his pampered guests with the best of breakfasts adapting tp personal taste (Sri Lankan style or to more western taste). Siri's well maintained swimming pool will be your refreshing reward after a few hours of Sri Lankan heat.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say it was an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Wow! what an incredible nice family who runs the place! we felt so welcomed here :) the room was spotless clean and very spacious & bathroom was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and tasty most foods had it. we loved to relax on the outdoor balcony and here the birds singing, overlooking a very calm neighborhood. we also absolutely loved the short walk to the beach, we met many sweet locals on the way, there are restaurants and a long beach - and there is a corner shop which provides everything you’ll need :) the wifi was the fastet and best we had so far! it’s a 10/10 - highly recommend to stay here! thank you so much Ramesh and his family for everything! We will come back again that place to stay longtime.

Villa Nilnara was a great place to stay. The location was super clean and comfortable. The food was super nice! We had fresh fish with a nice and fresh salad. Also the variety of the breakfast was nice (local or international breakfast). Every day we were asked about the timing when we want to have breakfast and dinner and the staff was super flexible. The accommodation is located directly at a really nice beach. Which is super empty because there are almost no neighbors or tourist accommodations around. The “garden” and the pool offers enough space for everyone to have private and quiet time. Above all the staff was really friendly and helpful. Once our WiFi was broken and they arranged someone to come to fix it immediately. They also arranged a scooter. Everyone made us feel very welcome.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.

    Ahungalla is a little village, hence to see places around...

    Ahungalla is a little village, hence to see places around you need bus or tuk tuk services, they run on main road all the time. We loved Bentota - a resort 20 min on a bus - it had calm beach and cafes to eat/drink around. Just outside Bentota there is village where you can get good shopping for clothes, gifts etc. Galle is 50min drive on a bus from Ahungalla. It's a lovely historic place to visit. We liked Ahungalla as it's less busy/noisy than other towns, and the villa we stayed was 5min walk to the beach. There is a good supermarket for basic items.

    The house is pretty. I especially enjoyed the balcony and sitting room with great views due to the beach front location. You can watch the amazing sunset right from your room. There is a swimming area close by (at the rocks to the left): according to the staff the swimming right in front of the hotel is dangerous. But it was fine both days i was there, with hardly any waves or current. The staff is sweet and fun and up for a chat. The dinners were good, but really way too pricy for what you are getting. Same goes for drinks.

    The hotel is located close to the beach inside a small shrubby area. There are AC rooms as well as separate Wood Cabins. The one we stayed is enough for 6 (easily) with few extra beds. The staff is friendly. The host even upgraded us to a wood cabin by the sea. There was no trouble at all. The food was delicious. Evening and morning in the beach is amazing. There is a bar by the beach as well. You can also visit Madhu Ganga, Koth Duwa Temple, Fish Therapy, Aluthgama Water Sports Spots from this place.

    I spend in Ahungalla one month. This was my solo travel. Owner - Vinoj help me any time. I really liked his wife and children. I felt like part of the family. Breakfast was really good. The facility was clean. Garden is really amazing and very comfortable. Wifi connection was good - I had to work remotely also and I didn’t have any problem.

    Beautiful hotel, beach and surroundings in secluded cove. Fantastic food with great options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we were made to feel very welcome and looked after by all of the friendly staff, notably Nashinta, Navindra, Lahiru, Dilhan, Lakshan, Sudun, Thishan and Ishant. Thank you, we will be back!
