The flat is spacious and fully equipped. It corresponds 100 per cent to the pictures on the website and all technical equipment and facilities work perfectly. The location is central. It is only a few minutes' walk to a supermarket and restaurants. The town centre is also within walking distance. We were very impressed by the hospitality of the whole family. Utirus and Sherice gave us such a friendly welcome as if we had known each other for a long time. Their two children also greeted and entertained us with a cheerful naturalness. We felt welcome in the truest sense of the word. We are both around 70 years old and have been travelling individually for years, changing accommodation every few days. Meeting this family and the two nights we spent at their apartment were among the highlights of our trip through the Antilles this year.

    If you want to get around to other islands and Gros Islet...

    If you want to get around to other islands and Gros Islet Street Party, make sure you negotiate the price for a round trip. Make SURE you emphasize round trip. Some taxi men are so money hungry and will give you a price of round trip, but then try and tell you they meant one way. DON'T let them do that. Get clear clarification for your round trip.

    Castries is a harsh city. Not violet.

    Castries is a harsh city. Not violet. But difficult to spend time in. It's not setup for tourists who are not in a resort or on a cruise. There are very few sit-down atmospheric restaurants and bars. It's a city for the locals and its a poor community. Everyone I met was very nice and friendly. They are wonderful people. But it's not what you might call 'charming'. The roads and traffic are a nightmare and a day here is enough. Rodney Bay is a much more vacation friendly place. I mostly enjoyed my stay here, but be prepared for confronting the results of colonial abuse and corruption. Frankly the locals are demonstrating a high degree of humility, love and forgiveness despite what our western ancestors have done to them, and are still doing. I learned something very important about western entitlement by staying here.

    Castries town centre is charming with a nice market and...

    Castries town centre is charming with a nice market and several excellent restaurants. People of St.Lucia are really friendly and always happy to help you out. There are plenty of shops stocking local and some international goods, especially the shops on-route to Rodney Bay. Choc beach near Castries was beautiful, clean & quiet with very calm sea waves. Excellent for swimming including children. We found the beach to be very quiet all day long with only a handful of people passing by, so ideal for sunbathing too. The Sunsets are magical.

    I enjoyed the Cacoa Chocolate Factory and the chocolate.

    I enjoyed the Cacoa Chocolate Factory and the chocolate. The mud bath; the water falls the botanical gardens and the Piton mountains. It’s mountainous which makes for very beautiful views of the island.

    I enjoyed Castries.

    I enjoyed Castries. Getting around is an adventure - coming from a place where we drive on the other side of the road. It's not difficult to adjust. The people, in general, are mostly friendly. Except for restaurants, no one takes larger bills and the banks close early. The food was great everywhere we went and it's a beautiful island! I'll certainly vacation here again!

The Castries Market is a must-visit, brimming with vibrant colors and local flavors. The warmth and friendliness of the locals truly stand out, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Exploring the city's cultural landmarks and enjoying its delicious cuisine added to our wonderful experience.     Lovely spacious apartment with a balcony, great views of Castries and the surrounding area. Lots of equipment and provisions to make cooking easier as there aren't any restaurants nearby. Local bus to town centre stops outside the house which is great as the hill is steep. Angie is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in several apartments in St Lucia and this was the best.

    Judah, the host was very helpful and accommodating for our short but sweet stay, passing through the Castries area. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony, a hot powerful shower and an amazing nights sleep in a very comfy bed after watching a movie on Netflix! There’s a convenient small supermarket, a bakery and also a bar / grill just a stones throw away.

    A little gem, tucked away in a quiet corner next to the Millennium Highway. Castries is right nextdoors. You stay in a beautifully maintained house and your room is spacious, comfortable - and spotlessly clean ! You've got access to a fully equipped kitchen. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly.
