It's not exactly a sight seeing city, more for business (Oil and Gas) which was the aim of my visit. Food is good! English is not widely spoken so best to know some Russian or Kazakh or have a local friend/ partner, but you can get by mostly. Download InDriver app to get good rates on taxis, or Yandex or Uber! There was an opening party for the rooftop on the night we were there but fortunately it did not go too late so there wasn’t any disturbance to rooms below. Breakfast is OK, nothing exceptional. Staff generally helpful and friendly. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped.
