Overlooking the exquisite gardens and with anything one might want, although very traditionally Japanese. The stone tub private onsen was excellent. We arrived in the midst of a late heat wave and the a/c worked well, even in the "traditional" part of the lodging. Breakfast was served in a private booth and was wonderful. The bus to the Akiyoshido Cave stops in front of the hotel room! There are 3x foot Onsen by 10 min walk distance max. Tons of food choices and one-day trip options. The rooms have the usual Japanese hotel sizes, the breakfast costs 900¥ but we didn’t like it so much (you get what you pay for), so we went outside for breakfast most days.
