This hoteI is new and very clean. The owner of the hotel is a very nice and very helpful. I can see the beatiful view of the mountain from the window of the hotel. The private onsen is very impressive. I got lost because my GPS doesn't work and I got there late at night. Fortunately, I brought the phone number and the name of the hotel in Japanese. The owner is so nice to come to pick me up and take me to the hotel safely.

We love the private hot spring inside our room. It is super comfortable and we can enjoy it anytime throughout the day. The room is spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you come with car, this is a perfect location for stay. We really love this place.

This boutique hotel was a gift. Yes it's gorgeous, perched on the side of the mountain with stunning views and luxury accom like having your own onsen but it was the staff who really made it outstanding....Maria, Tui and everyone else were incredibly responsive and helpful...not only when due to train changes, we were 2 hours late arriving (the kitchen staff held our dinner) but also when we left a phone with our JR passes in the taxi. (which we were able to recover!!!)

We loved our stay, the room was outstanding with an amazing view. The Chef was from a different planet, both the breakfast and dinner were exceptional and exceeded all expectations, a gem! My daughter and I very much enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Hells and to a very nice public onsen. There are a lot of restaurants within 10-15 min walk. We had our car but decided to park it at the hotel and walk everywhere. The staff at check in was very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was my third time staying in an R9 hotel. They’re always clean and comfortable. Desk space, a microwave and fridge. The frozen light dinners are decent (and free) and coffee is surpassingly good. Heating/aircon works well. If you’re passing through and need a basic comfortable place to stay it’s perfect. If you’re cycling you can keep your bike in your room.
