Mishima is a diamond 💎. It was one of the most beautiful places I visited in Japan. The gardens, clear water streams, beautiful people, wonderful parks with animal petting zoo make this area a magnificent visit. Being on the doorstep of Mt Fuji it’s easy to catch public transport up the mountain. If you are looking for a top notch Japanese kitchen knife to take home, visit 3 waves. They have a great range of knives, higher quality than specialist stores in Tokyo or Kyoto with prices much lower than everywhere else I looked in Japan. Most people head to the Sky Walk, but if you want to avoid...
Most people head to the Sky Walk, but if you want to avoid the crowds and view some lovely scenery head to Yamanaka Castle Ruins. It was small city about 100k people.
It was small city about 100k people. The draw to the city was Sky Walk suspension bridge. There are no metro’s so transportation is by bus as well as taxis. A nice town away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Osaka.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Mishima was a stopover for our travel between Kawaguchiko...
Mishima was a stopover for our travel between Kawaguchiko and Kyoto. We took a 80 min coach ride from Kawaguchiko to Mishima Station. It was convenient to get on the Shinkansen to Kyoto the next day. We did not go around Mishima but you can still see Mt Fuji from Mishima Station.Guest review byRowenaAustralia

Exceptionally clean and very modern decor. Room not huge but well designed and comfortable Clean towels, linen, bathrobs etc available to help yourself on all floors. Free coffee, soft drinks and amazingly in the evening for an hour or so white and red wine ! Free breakfast buffet was very good too.
