Very elegant Japanese style house. I had it to myself as no one else was staying. The breakfast was the most delicious wholefood bento from a local cafe. The bed was really comfortable. Very nice and quiet. It's kind of a nice combination of a luxurious atmosphere, excellent decor but with aspects of a budget hostel feel. (No private bathroom only showers). It would be nice in summer as there is a big tatami room with a view of the garden. This was the guest house annexe not the main loop hotel.

The house is located beautifully in the middle of the National Park surrounded by trees. It is decorated thoughtfully and felt like a home far from home. The lodge was absolutely beautiful. It has everything a family would need. The washer and dryer were a huge help for our long trip. The kitchen was fully equipped. My children enjoyed home cooked meals after having eating out since we started the trip. The stone bath tub is a plus too.
