Included dinner & breakfast were excellent. It's 20 minutes from Kiso-fukushima station, but they have shuttle service. 3:30pm or 5pm from train station to the ryokan. 9:30am from the ryokan to train station (there's only one shuttle service in the morning). You need to arrange shuttle service before you arrive. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains. I would stay again if I come back to Kiso-fukushima.

The staff was very kind and made us feel welcomed and looked after. We were offered snacks at our arrival and a nice breakfast in the morning. These little gestures of kindness are among the best memories of our trip.

Woderful stay! The Hill Top was our base for three nights. This allowed us to do the Tsumago/Magome hike (one hour drive) as well as hiking Mt. Kisokoma-gatake (one hour drive). Getting there by car was made easier by the indications on the roadside for the last few kilometers. The hosts were exquisitely kind. Dinner was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the local wines. Breakfast was also excellent. Surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. One of our most pleasant stay in Japan.

Lovely onsen in a cute town. We were given some nice personal recommendations of what to see in the area and where to eat too. The beds were very comfortable!

The hotel is a hidden gem. The facilities were outstanding, the western-style room was very spacious, hotel’s onsen was 10/10. Everything was perfectly clean and neat and the staff most helpful. We traveled as a couple and enjoyed our one-night stay very much.
