We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the parking lot charged us 3200 yen for over nigh parking. We found not place to clarify why such high as the signage said maximum was 700 yen for over night. My only purpose to come to Akita was to visit the Shrine of our Lady of Akita. The famous tears shedding statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I'm a catholic. That was my personal pilgrimage. I love Akita. People are polite and honest. They arr vwey helpful and try their best to communicate in English. The place is very clean and peaceful. Kind of a sleepy town.

Koh-san is a super kind host, attentive and caring. Great space in the house, multiple rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen, everything is neat and clean. Koh-san always goes above and beyond: this time, he helped us buy tickets for a performance (which required research and dedication!), and also with a hotel reservation needing phone calls.
