    We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the...

    We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the parking lot charged us 3200 yen for over nigh parking. We found not place to clarify why such high as the signage said maximum was 700 yen for over night. I booked a counter table in 长屋酒场， but they offered sitting on tatami with a few small tables... eating for 1-2 hours... just not comfortable. we left early and found not so good experience.

    My only purpose to come to Akita was to visit the Shrine of...

    My only purpose to come to Akita was to visit the Shrine of our Lady of Akita. The famous tears shedding statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I'm a catholic. That was my personal pilgrimage. I love Akita. People are polite and honest. They arr vwey helpful and try their best to communicate in English. The place is very clean and peaceful. I love to live here.

    Kind of a sleepy town.

    Kind of a sleepy town. Maybe I was in the more quiet parts but there didn’t seem to be a lot going on as far as nightlife. There’s some cool temples offering Goshuin, and lovely green parks great for strolling.

    I was just passing by, and it was on Sunday and. many places closed. I am not sure what is interesting in the city of Akita. There is a village/museum for Namahage monsters, but is outside of the city.

    Nice city to visit for a few days.

    Nice city to visit for a few days. I am actually impressed with the city and would like to come back again to explore more. The attractions it has do attract many tourists coming to visit this city. I strongly recommend this city to visit.

    Very well connected to the airport (the limousine bus stops in front of the hotel), and within walking distance to the most important sites of the city. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast had both Japanese and Western options. The hotel has its own bakery shop with good quality products, and there is also a convenience store on site.

    Excellent location with direct access from JR station. Very new hotel stylish decor and good lighting options in room, quality big TV etc. Decent size room by Japanese standards (we booked a Double in North wing but bed seemed to be a king). Some nice touches in room.

    It’s good location being very near to the JR and right in front of the park at Akita. The hotel provided several complimentary treats for guest eg ramen for supper, coffee at lobby, ice cream at onsen and Yakult in the morning at onsen.

    Nice breakfast and really helpful staff. The gym was little outdated but I appreciated the fact that you could do bench press and there were some free weights as well. Often these essentials are neglected in hotel gyms.
