The Sago Palm hotel exceeded my expectations in everyway. Located in the heart of every thing. Getting out and around was easy. I traveled alone and I felt safe when I went out. Lots of shops and restaurants around to sample the local delicacies and feel the true spirit of Jamaica. The staff at the hotel were all phenomenal! Great food that came piping hot! Clean and well maintained rooms and surroundings. I can't fault anything about this hotel. I am very happy that I chose to stay there and will return and proudly give my recommendations.

Great location in the Sandcastles resort. So this is someone's condo inside the resort and the resort rents it out while the people are away. It’s on the main street very near the cruise terminal, many stores, restaurants and tourist traps. The beach is a fenced out public beach but you get access for free with your resort bracelet. Unlike in Negril, you can't just wander to the beach at any hour. The resort has a pool with a mini water slide and a bar with live music at night. It gets lively. Since it's a condo, the wifi somes with the condo, it doesn't work in the full resort. The kitchen is equiped with a fridge and a stove. I used the resort's laundry service, they were courteous and fast.

The location is very ideal and it is very close to the town (walking distance). The apartment is in a very peaceful area. The bed was soft and comfy. There was availability of kitchen appliances as well as other amenities. The host was very informative, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

    Amazing!so many places to go and things to do. The local people were kind and friendly. There was no incident of violence or aggression throughout our stay. So many restaurants, well kept beaches and rivers. The streets were always clean. Traffic reasonable.

    Wonderful place.

    Wonderful place. We enjoyed everything about it (find the little gem which is the natural mineral pool - so refreshing!). The staff are wonderful -- friendly, helpful and attentive. The singing chef making our eggs at breakfast is a superstar! As a place to chill out and have some 'us time' it was perfect. Highly recommend it.

    Ochi Rios typical tourist location in Jamaica where...

    Ochi Rios typical tourist location in Jamaica where specific populations are served. There are hidden gems to be found but you have to search them out. Insiders stay up in the hills above Ochi and drive down. The toll road is not far so you can explore other parts of the island. It’s not a bad staging point and there is lots to do if you wish to be active. A good staging point for adventurers further afield.

    Perfectly located for people who would love to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica with easy access to locations like Dunns River Falls, Dolphin Cove, Blue Hole just to name a few. A visit to Blue Hole is strongly recommended we had a wonderful time there and had a great meal at Scotchies the jerk pork, jerk chicken and roast fish were awesome

    Book your own excursions although they give you 500 for resort items. Don’t book your stay through booking.com that cost you 64 dollars round trip per person from the airport it’s included with a direct reservation

    Ocho Rios has a very small town feel.

    Ocho Rios has a very small town feel. You feel safe, the locals are friendly. They have all the modern day convenience, grocery stores, restaurants dine in take out. Dunno River Fall-FABULOUS, Shopping Mall, fabulous, Miss T restaurant delicious food and service- I highly recommend Getting around by foot or taxi inexpensive and easy. No issues as a lone traveler early morning walks late evening returns cry safe.

    The hotel is beautiful, restaurants are good especially the jerk hut and Momo. The entertainment is good. I only really appreciated the jamaican culture show. Beach is ok, not comparable to other places on the island like Negril but decent. Oustanding service, Ashely and Yaneak at the reception helped me a lot with check-in and sorting out things during my stay. I really also appreciated the work of the laundry service. All the ladies at the Concierge and laundry service who brought me my clothes last minute were amazing.

    The location to sea. The view was excellent, looking out at the sea both day and night. Having the bar at the beach front. I would describe it as a great hide away, to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. It is not a large hotel, so it keeps it personal. The lady and the young man at the front desk was always very helpful and friendly. I also liked that there was a Jamaican breakfast on offer every day. The tea, coffee and choice of milk were good, as I have a milk intolerance, the almond milk was very nice.
