Riva is ancient fishing village yet a hidden gem but easy to get to via public transport. Lots of Italian vibe in the Main Street especially in the bars & restaurants along the seafront. Not many tourists in May, meant it was pretty tranquil and felt much more authentic than neighbouring places. The longest cycle /walking track in Europe is just minutes from the seafront & the centre, plus a very long promenade that goes from Riva Grange to Santo Stefano is great for sauntering. It’s a pescatarian’s heaven, ate really well in many of the local restaurants - La Lanterna, La Scogliera, Dalle Padella all Brace. Leandro, and Osteria Delma Salute.
