Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the hotel: the staff was very gracious, they even let us use some plates one day to have a lovely picnic outside and hooked us up with ice and glasses and things to enjoy our summer feast outdoors. They were so wonderful! They have created so much beauty on their property for guests to enjoy! It was truly lovely. I felt like I was in paradise! Rapallo was just OK for me. It seemed touristy and the food in town was my least favorite of my trip. Like they didn't care much about the quality of food they are serving the tourists. I get it, but it was just not very thrilling. But that's the effects of tourism. I was also surprised to learn that the beaches cant be accessed by everyone, as in the US. However, it is a beautiful town, the shops, bakeries, culinary stores are nice and I enjoyed them.Guest review byCarrieUnited States - 8.0
Rapallo is a beautiful town.
Rapallo is a beautiful town. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and shops. We travelled by train down to the Cinque Terre and all journeys were easy to navigate. The boat trip from Rapallo to Portofino was a lovey way to spend a few hours.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Rapallo is a lovely town, with great facilities. We used it as a hub to travel by public transport to the places we wanted to visit. We went by ferry to Portofino (or bus, if the weather stops the ferries running) and by train to Genoa, Pisa and Cinque Terre.Guest review bymarie0812Australia - 8.0
Rapallo is a great base for the Ligurian coast.
Rapallo is a great base for the Ligurian coast. Not as spectacular as the Cinque Terre, or Portofino, but so much more pleasant. And so much less expensive and crowded. Water of the ocean is super dirty but if you walk for 40 min from Santa Margherita ligure the water of the ocean starts being better but Rapallo city is beautiful and a nice night life though if you wanna eat an ice cream consider that even during summer time high season the lazy shops close by 23 pm approx as well as restaurantsGuest review byJoeItaly

We were slightly sceptical before visiting because of the lack of reviews, but we didn’t need to worry. The location is ideal - less than 10 minutes from the centre of Rapallo with easy access to the train station for onward visits to the Cinque Terre and Santa Margherita Ligure. It was situated on one of the scenic streets of Rapallo, very close to the train station, to all the restaurants, and to the sea. Amazing. The hotel had air conditioning, which helped us a lot when it was very hot. There was also a kitchen — all the necessary amenities were provided. We even used the washing machine.
