When you come to Portofino by car the parking possibility is a "must have" not only a "nice to have". The Hotel Piccolo Portofino provided us with a perfectly organized and super-friendly "parking service" - much better than we had expected. Breakfast was also excellent and all food and drinks were served continuously by the end of breakfast time 10:30. Fantastic location. Do not omit to visit the Al Faro Lounge bar at the lighthouse if you can - very very cool :) . Aircon in unit was helpful. This is the essential Portofino "on the water" - including the after hours experience. Lovely.

The location is in the heart of Portofino. View from the balcony was amazing. There isn't a lift in the building, so the host sent a staff to help us carry the luggages from the car park up to the 3rd floor. Appreciated the help.

Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations.

Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations. However, it is tiny and the weather was not great which limits what there is to do. Two nights rather than three would have been enough. Also it really is expensive. Not a place to go if you are on a budget. My husband and son had brilliant food - particularly DaV Mere - but they love fish and seafood. Not great for vegetarians.

We enjoyed walking and getting around but Portofino is...

We enjoyed walking and getting around but Portofino is really small so don't spend more than one night there. I was expecting more people to be around but it was really empty after the sunset. People come in boats to know the harbour but they don't stay around after so it's very quiet (at least in April when I went). There aren't that many options for good food but the restaurant "Trattoria Tripoli" was a highlight of our stay in Portofino. Probably the best Frutti di mare spaghetti I have had in my life!

Everything! This is a very unique apartment above the main piazza. It's stunning inside, great decor and facilities. Our main reason for booking was the balcony! Perfect place to people watch and soak up the unique atmosphere of Portofino, but comes into it's own when all the crowds go home! It was a one night treat for us but worth every penny. I could have stayed longer. Great friendly service form Francesco who met us with the keys, brilliant!

The situation of the hotel could not have been better. It was directly overlooking the harbour with a fantastic view from the balcony. We used the balcony a lot as the weather was so nice to sit out and have a drink or a read. The staff were very pleasant and couldn’t do enough to help us. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of it.

Excellent location overlooking the harbour. Apartment is situated between bars and restaurants. Lovely lounge/bedroom area. Compact kitchen bathroom. Beautiful walk to lighthouse. Portofino is busy during day with cruise ships and quiet at night.
