Our stay in Nicosia at the La Madonnina was a sheer delight. Our hosts Samuel and Valentina greeted us at the B&B in order to introduce us to the village and help us with our luggage as we are senior citizens. They gave us recommendations for meals, and a map of the town. We were so impressed with our hosts friendliness and their welcoming attitude. We were in Nicosia because my ancestors were born there. Samuel and Valentina joined us for dinner in order to give us information regarding the culture of the town and shed some light on the life of my ancestors. The breakfast that came with our stay was available at a local shop and the pastries were heavenly. I cannot recommend this B&B enough.

Everything you could need is right there. The kitchen is very well stocked for breakfast with many different options depending on taste. Marcello is very kind and welcoming. They even cleaned my room on my second day, like they would in a hotel !!! Was not expecting that kind of attention for a place of this type and I’ve booked many !!! Grazie Mille Marcello ! You were right, the arancini was amazing !! 🫶

The room was very spacious and very clean. Staff was extremely accomodating. Valentina went above and beyond to help find my relatives and being an interpreter for me, as well as assisting with directions.

Cute building, right in the center near everything - yet quiet. The place was immaculate with good WiFi. Valentina and Samuele were so very kind and helpful in every way and every communication. We felt special and highly recommend this stay for others!

Peaceful environment. Friendly staff that went out of their way to make us feel at home. Loved the farm animals!  even got to ride horses. The food was excellent too.

There was an outdoor yard to park our motorcycles. Location was great and we could walk everywhere in downtown. We had forgotten a watch and the owner went above and beyond to get it back to us before the end of our trip. A friend of hers happened to be doing the ride back to Rome and gave us the watch back.

    don't miss this gem tucked away from the tourists!

    don't miss this gem tucked away from the tourists! its citizens respect and value their city! we walked for hours exploring the history and architecture of this city (12,000 population). the locals were so welcoming as we climbed and weaved through narrow streets and stairways. Nicosia is very walkable, has over 100 churches and around every corner it seemed we saw one. Our dinner at Antica Osteria was exceptional with fresh pasta, local pork followed with a biscotti and zibibbo dessert wine - all local Sicilian foods!!
