Superb little find just around the corner from Pontremoli and the motorway and overlooking the Lunigiana hills. Quaint little agriturismo nestled in the hills, wonderful location and hosts are superb. Gigliola takes great pride in cooking for her guests every evening and we had a lovely local meal (and home grown wine! 😁). Cannot fault this place and we look forward to coming back and exploring more

Very helpful staff, I was travelling by bicycle and they allowed an early checkin at 12:00 pm. Good breakfast, location is close to supermarket. Safe place to store the bicycle.

This hotel was just fantastic!! Utentic mediviele athmosphere with great thinking of every detail. Dont compromise and take the suite!! We wanted to get the feel of the renesans days and there is no other place to feel it than here. We just fell in love for the hotel and the city itslef. Everything about our stay at B&B Castello Malaspina di Tresana was wonderful. From the pretty courtyard in front of the B&B, which doubled as the village meeting place to the wonderful views and silence of the rural location. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a nice bathroom with all amenities. And everything was super clean. Breakfast, which was really good, home made and varied, was served by the utterly friendly and accomodating host, Mariana, in a rustic and cosy dining room with stone vaults, with Mariana making your preferred coffee, eggs, foccasia etc. On top of this, guests have full access to the small castle which the B&B is an integrated part of. On every terrasse and on top of the castle tower, lounge chairs, tables etc. was waiting for guests. We had the most lovely picnic watching the stars and mountains from here. Due to the remote location of the castle, which is situated atop a tiny but pretty village, restaurants and shops are a few km away (3 km for nearest village with a handful of restaurants, 7 km for larger town with all you need) and a car/motorcycle or bicycles are probably needed for staying here. Parking is possible in the courtyard directly in front of the B&B but guests with larger cars might prefer to park >100 m below the castle in a large public parking space as you need to drive through a relatively narrow passageway to park directly in front of the B&B. All in all a highly reccomendable B&B in every way.

Wonderful B&b in the heart of the atmospheric old town Filetto. Our room was spotless and very comfortable and Sarah met us in the morning with an amazing breakfast. Really recommend breaking the walk here if you are doing the Via Francigena

    AMAZING location ! At the top of a mountain literally in the middle of nowhere :-) amazingly quite and clean air. Nice walk up to a church close by. Staff are really, really friendly and helpful. Amazing dinner too and great prices. Will surely return one day ! One of the nicest overall hotels/ guest houses we have ever been to ! Little wooden statues and a crib near by too with swings. perfect for children and hardly any cars .

    The location was great after we asked a local lol. The sat nav decided to take us elsewhere initially! Its a lovely hotel and the staff were efficient and friendly. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and we were able to take our small dog in which makes it easier for us. The choice of food was very good and the serving staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good and a choice of food.

    Very nice quiet place in the old city of Mulazzo. The owner are very friendly and helpful. Every morning we got a different variation of breakfast. This efforts of the owner and the nice few on the mountain in the morning, make this a special place.
