We would highly recommend the Villa Etna Massi, we had a very pleasant stay there in October. The villa has a beautiful situation with views to the sea on one side and Mount Etna to the other. The villa is well equipped and also very quiet and peaceful. The nearby village of Milo is also of interest with wine bars and cafes and every single person we met there was kind and helpful. Finally we must also thank our charming host Alfio who was a very good friend to us and always available to help us. We wish him well for the future and we are grateful to him for a wonderful stay. Rating 10 out of 10. [WS - October 2024]

Molto bene!!! I was looking for a tranquil, comfortable yet quality resort on the Sicilian waterfront, away from the bustle of Catania and Taormina but close enough to visit these districts when I wanted … and the Santantonio Resort met all of this, and more! The hotel is modern with some clever design features and with consideration to many details that discerning travellers would expect/demand. The hotel is extremely well presented with quality finishes, decor and refinements throughout. My suite was very comfortable. From the website and photos all of this, I was expecting. However, the hospitality of the staff was exceptional and certainly exceeded my expectations. The owners and the staff were courteous, professional, attentive and friendly, but I never felt that they were ever intrusive. The restaurant fare was excellent no matter whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, and attention by the staff, superb. The Chef uses only premium local produce to present dishes of the highest quality, thank you! The pool and relaxation areas were cleverly laid out so that residents can best enjoy the facilities. A special thank you to Hannah for the warm welcome when I first arrived at the hotel (and much later than I was anticipating, sorry!). Special thanks too to Mariella, for looking after me (and my suite) and to Carla, Evelyn, Cinzia and Luca for taking care of me in the bar and restaurant throughout. A big thank you also to Hannah, Mary and Carmella for ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout and to Antonio for showing me around some of the local sights. 

I truly enjoyed my stay at Santantonio Resort and would recommend it to those seeking peace and tranquility in a quality environment. I look forward to my next visit…

The Hotel was just lovely. Such nice surrounding, with lots of greenery and all the property was very clean. The pool area was our favorite with the view to Etna and with all the lemon trees around it. We also had a room with the view to the pool and Etna, which was really nice. The stay felt really private since we were always alone by the pool although there were other people at the hotel also. Breakfast was really good and there was an option to order warm meals also. Absolutely loved our stay and would have wanted to stay even longer.

    Nice and helpful personel and a lovely dog Bianca. View on Etna and the sea is stunning. They have the best white wine we ever tasted made from their own grapes. Dinner and breakfast are good, also their red wine collection is great. Beds were bit hard and pool was chilly, that was the only 'downside'. If you want to explore the Etna, ask Antonio about the tour from Francesco, worth every penny.

    Great location for visiting Etna National Park.

    Great location for visiting Etna National Park. Short distance from cablecar that takes you up the mountain; we recommend paying for the van ride to go up farther than the cablecar because that portion includes a guide who shows you interesting things about the volcano, including fumaroles and the Valle del Bove lava valley. (We found this activity to be very interesting and enjoyable, although expensive. Do Not Leave Any Valuables in your car in the cablecar parking lot.) The town is very small - one grocery store and only 1 restaurant, but it's a good one: The 4 Arches (Quattro Achi) - very popular, reservations recommended, but only open for dinner Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner Sat and Sunday. The climate is a lot cooler in Milo than on the coast -- a welcome change. The roads are usually narrow and at times extremely steep. Underfoot is all crunchy volcanic rock and ash. We went on a hike to find an ancient oak tree -- the Ilice di Carrinu.

    The staff were so friendly, helpful and relaxed. We planned to be earlier but got distracted enroute. This was not a problem as we kept intouch via text. The meal was wonderful and local wine just lovely. Kids were made so welcome! Our son is called Milo, so he was particularly excited! The terrace on the roof for our drinks and dinner, with view of Etna was superb ... Our room also had Etna view. Good to chat with other guest as we all shared volcano interests!

    Hidden gem near Etna. The host Sebastiano is one of the most welcoming hosts we have ever had. His farm is modern, comfortable, family friendly, and has a creative flair that will resonate strongly with your artistic side. A great option for families with young kids as well. There's an organic garden and the groundskeeper brought fresh bread and eggs from the farm for us daily. We really hope to come again.
