A lovely experience. Off the beaten track so ideal for people looking for peace and quiet but not isolated . Close to a tiny village and to Faggeto Lario and 40 mins to Como and other towns on the lake. Good for solo travellers and families. We enjoyed the stay very much and would definately recommend the stay to other people. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was lovely with a kitchenette and lots of storage space, we had a balcony to sit and have a quiet drink while taking in the beauty of Lake Como. We ate in several places and had a great speedboat trip to view some of the other villages on the lake, Walking was good, the hills were quite steep, so you do what you can and go back. We we're suppose to have a rental car, but after some bad...
We we're suppose to have a rental car, but after some bad luck we ended up moving with public transportation with which Faggeto Lario is not impossible, but a bit difficult to reach. There are not too many restaurants (we counted three) and no grocery store. Views are very beautiful though and the ferry ride from Como was also very beautiful. Michaele is amazing owner, who can meet you near the bus stop and pick up to the place, she is also always ready to give you a lot of advices about sights, restaurants and answer all your questions. If you are without car, it is also not problem, there is a bus from Como to this village and also one more direct bus to the Belagio. You can find everything in this place. The breakfast was way beyond expectations, definitely hotel level with plenty of options to choose from. Location is really peaceful, quite away from the main road, perfect for relaxing - 45 minutes away from Bellagio, 30 minutes from Como.
