It was very clean and modern and the host even left us a little breakfast package with croissants and jams! Kitchen had cooking supplies and even olive oil and spices. Very peaceful neighborhood.

The staff was very friendly and that the breakfast was already prepared for the morning made things easier for us. The location was cozy, close to the lake. We also welcomed the free parking close to the room, so the luggage was unloaded quickly. Motorcycle friendly.

On the one hand, selfishly, I would like to say that you shouldn’t come here (so that we’d still have the chance to return and book the apartment again – after what we’ve seen, the place will surely be fully booked all year round). But in truth, this is the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited with our family. Starting from the stunningly designed interiors (the décor was top-class, never overwhelming, yet immediately radiating quality and meticulous attention to every detail of the furnishings), to something I can only describe as a fairytale I had previously known only from paintings... I mean the surroundings. It’s something that is hard for me to put into words – views you can gaze at for days on end, each time noticing new details. Baluardo Apartments is something that even a perfect 10/10 Booking score cannot truly capture. It is a private paradise on earth.     The hotel was in a great location right next to the boat stop. Fantastic views. The rooms were clean but no aircon. No bottled water in the room so had to buy from the hotel and very expensive. The food was average and expensive in the restaurant. Overall it was a nice stay but with faults

    I was in the area for a wedding for two nights.

    I was in the area for a wedding for two nights. The location was fabulous and managed to have a little walk around near the apartment I was staying and it was beautiful. I would have loved to of stayed longer and explored the lake and more surrounding areas.

    You really need a car to get around, we didn't but our...

    You really need a car to get around, we didn't but our friends did & we did have lifts with them. We used the ferry alot, it was only 5 minutes walk away & was very cheap & efficient. We went to Iseo , Sarnico & the island, it was great. We enjoyed eating in the restaurants nearby & everyone was very friendly. We sat out by the lake which was beautiful & also swam in the lake, lovely & refreshing.

    Clusane is a super little village.

    Clusane is a super little village. I highly recommend it - and also the whole of the Lago d'Iseo region. Our time was way to short, especially for summer. We would have loved to take extended trips on the lake as well as spend a day at one of the many lake beaches. The food in the area, we found, is mostly seafood and lake food, which was great, as we really enjoy fish - but most restaurants do cater for people who may not be into fish. Fantastic area to visit.

    The hotel is right on the lake so the view from the rooms (even those on the side) is awesome. In other reviews, people complained about the boats and the noise they make, but the noise level was very low even though there were some boats. The hotel decor is old, but it's well maintained and in general hotel is very clean. Parking is spacious, but they close the gates at midnight (sometimes earlier) so you'll have to call them to open the gate and the hotel's main door, which was OK.

    Very nice family hotel just in front of the lake Iseo. The view from the room is just amazing ! The breakfast offers local specialities and lots of pastry. The staff is vey nice and ready to help and advice. Special thanks to Katia for her recommendations. We will definitely come back

    Everything! Very creative placement in the sweetest town Clusane with a great view over the lake. The hosts of the hotel made my mom and me feel very welcome and they were so helpful. Great place to stay while exploring lake iseo!
