I have been going to Cannobio for nearly thirty years it is a little gem on Lago Maggiore and is the essence if an Italian town. There are not many English or UK tourists, which makes it good to practise Italian. I`ve been visiting Cannobio on and off over the past 14 years. My favourite place on Lago Maggiore and beats Lake Como! Most of its charm derives from its wide, 700 year old piazza overlooking the lake and back by a beautiful, well preserved and well maintained old town. Good food and a variety of restaurants. Cannobio was great, the piazza were full of people enjoying the warm sunshine beside the lake!! It was wonderful 👌 We’d love to come back to this gorgeous village, the markets on Sunday were outstanding with lots of clothes, jewellery etc not sure how often they’re on. It is a nice town at the lake.
It is a nice town at the lake. One week was a bit long, market day is every Sunday and this is not something I personally enjoy. Did a boat trip to isola Bella which was super nice. Hiked to the grotto and swam it ice cold water.Guest review byClaudiaSouth Africa

Each family member takes part in making everything run smoothly, which gives the place a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Parking is included, and it takes only about 12–15 minutes on foot to reach the lake. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic – beautifully arranged with great attention to detail.
