VINEHO was the most perfect experience. I was going to stay in Alba for 5 nights, but I decided to treat myself, and it was the best decision I could make. I was worried that my expectations were too high as I have Italian heritage, and I love Barolo wine, but VINEHO blew my expectations away! I was a solo traveller (in my early 30s), and even though I was the only guest for my whole stay, it was magnificent. Cristina was an extremely helpful, friendly, and hospitable host. She allowed me to check in early and responded to my WhatsApp messages within minutes. Each time I saw her, she had a glowing smile, and she happily chatted with me in our mix of English and Italian. Lucia, Cristina's daughter, was also very kind and sociable. Lucia was always present during breakfast. She made coffee and happily conversed with me about VINEHO, the vineyard, and life. I also had the pleasure of briefly meeting Lucia's nonna and nonno, who were both very happy and welcoming. The breakfast was a highlight - in addition to Lucia's warm pressence, there was delicious Italian food prepared by Lucia's nonna each morning, plus a range of fruit from the garden and other homemade cakes. Everything reminded me of my nonna's cooking. And if everything above isn't enough to convince you, the pool was magical, the views were stunning, the apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped... 10/10 I will return! The most cosy location from our entire trip in Italy. It felt like coming to my mum's house - so warm and cosy. The rooms are decorated in an old style, but very cosy, clean and comfortable. The owner Raphaela is a very pleasant woman, very charming, with whom you want to chat for hours by the fireplace with a glass of red wine. We will definitely be back!

    Barolo is a famous and cute little italian village and the...

    Barolo is a famous and cute little italian village and the best vine on Earth (to me personally). :) We had a lovely walk around in this region with my husband on our latest visit and we loved its magical vineyard hills even more than the village itself. Because sadly the only downside (like with many similarly famous italian areas) is that it can become quiet busy and crowded with too many tourists and not so enjoyable if you prefer a more peaceful relaxing holiday like us. It is definitely worth to visit the village too, to grab an ice cream or an aperitivo but having long walks outside in its beautiful vineyard hills is a must have for a true and authentic Piemonte experience! :) It is very easy to get around in the vineyards of Barolo also by foot or by bike or scooters but would recommend to pay a visit not only in summer time but also during spring or autumn when its less crowded probably.

    Barolo is a very pretty town surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. We travelled by car and it was easy to visit lots of pretty towns in this beautiful region. Barolo offers a selection of restaurants and pizzeria offering very good food, service and of course great wines and everyone was very welcoming.

    Amazing and unexpected visit to the Castle In Barolo Otherwise quite boring unless your a wine expert Most restaurant menus serve the same food but at differing prices Since leaving we have discovered Barolo wine much cheaper outside of Barolo village

    A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region.

    A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region. We started in Asti & then Turin. Its great to get out of the city and see "real" Italy, garnished in grapes ready to harvest. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Barolo was a great town to be in and biking was phenomenal there.

    This was an incredible place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay again. The hosts were so nice and incredibly helpful. A lovely welcome breakfast tray was laid out for us with some milk, juice to start the stay. The apartment was equipped with everything you would need and the standard of finish was very high. Excellent bed, excellent pillows, wonderful shower and bathroom. Everything was new and modern and the place had everything we could possibly want. The location is a 5 minute walk up to Barolo town on a lit path, it was perfect.

    The house is charming, state of the art, centrally located, easy to reach by car and offers all the comforts one can wish for. Francesca welcomed us so warmly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and all things to explore in the area. We couldn't have asked for anything more and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Asilo. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the village of Barolo. Bonus: there is even gated parking and a charger for EVs!

    It is right in the centre of town. There are nice restaurants around. The room was beautiful and big and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom had everything needed - nice toiletries. We could park our motorbike inside which was a plus. The breakfast the next morning was amazing pastries and great coffee! Definitely the place to stay in Barolo
