Excellent place to visit. Has varied topography,landscapes and terrain. Infrastructure is just amazing. It has rivers,lakes , mountains and dessert. The pangong lake is just out of this world. 1. Leh itinerary of 7 to 8 days is good for visit most of the places in Ladhak less Kargil. 2. 2/3 day of acclimatization is necessary at Leh. 3. Places of interest are Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Shey, Hemis & Thiskey Monasteries, Hunder sand dunes, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Khardung La & Chang La Pass. 4. Rooms were massive with beautiful views, very clean. Dinner handmade by the owners was delicious (had veg momos one nights and thali the next night, r.250 each night ). Breakfast is the traditional Ladakhi breakfast of Khambir with jam & butter, omelette and masala chai (r.200, bargain!). And the food keeps coming until you're full!
