I booked one room for 2 nights but wasn't able to arrive until the second night. I arrived on the second night with friends who also wanted to book a room there. Instead of charging for the second room, they gave it to us for free in lieu of the first nights accommodation (2 rooms for 1 night instead of 1 room for 2 nights). I was very surprised by their generosity as it was my fault that I couldn't arrive the first night. The food was also incredible. Excellent quality and the quantity was insane. It's even more impressive when considering the remotness of the hotel. By far the best accommodation I stayed at during my entire holiday throughout India and Nepal. The customer service couldn't have been better.

We had the best time in Karma! The family that hosted us was so kind and helpful. We asked for a dinner and she made it with vegetables from her garden. All the food was amazing. We highly recommend on this place !!!! The best experience !

The property was quite pretty and the room and bathroom were large and spacious and clean. Upon arriving, they had mentioned to us that hot water was available only at specific times of the day and during those times we did get hot water without any issues. Because there are frequent power cuts across the valley and there is no electricity at night, they had provided us with a few plug points that were running on inverter and we could charge our phones using those points even when there was no electricity which was quite helpful. The room itself was ventilated such that we could open a window at night and a stand fan was also provided.

A place that feels like home. beautiful, traditional ladakhi designed house, clean, well isolated, with beautiful mountain view. Stanzin, the owner, is an amazing, beyond expectation host. He explained us a lot about the area, the ladakhi tradition and gave us helpful advices. He took care for us as we arrived exhausted from all of our flights and through our acclimatisation, bought us water and served us tea with mint from his garden. His children are really sweet and we enjoyed playing with them. IMPORTANT: the place offers 3 delicious meals per day. Amazing indian food made by lovely Nima! We didn't want to leave!
