We stayed at this wonderful accommodation for just one night, and it exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness was exceptional inside the room and outside in the garden/the property in general, and both the host and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We were even able to securely park our scooter in the courtyard overnight. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the flexibility they offered - we got to use the pool for an extra hour, and the Jacuzzi was a delightful bonus. Additionally, they accommodated an early check-in request, which was very much appreciated. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely return in the future.

Ameya Kerala is truly amazing! The property,built in 2018 to a high standard and with lovely fittings and decorations,is owned by a French couple and run by well trained and efficient Indian staff. Anish was particularly helpful in arranging future bookings and Mr Navraj was very knowledgeable about many things. English spoken was excellent. The kitchen girls were also most attentive. The grounds are beautifully maintained by the gardeners. The food at Ameya was extremely good. Delicious in fact! Beautiful views across the lake with much bird life greets one and one is struck by the peacefulness of it all. Walks or bike rides to the local market area are enjoyable and,of course, canoe rides on the lake can be arranged. All in all we found Ameya quite exceptional and one of the best places we have ever stayed in. We could find no fault with anything.

This is absolutely extraordinary place to stay! Beautiful beach nearby houses, calm place, spaced rooms. You can choose either continental or indian breakfast (freshly prepared), sometimes they offer indian lunch (very, very tasty!). A quiet place to stay. Really fell in love with it. Danielle and Raji are very kind and helpful – they can help you to arrange trips, yoga classes, ayurvedic therapies. Really a dream place!

We had the best (and biggest!) dosa for breakfast - absolutely delicious! We were asked what we’d like to eat and simply said “dosa,” and it turned out amazing. The hotel is very new and extremely comfortable. I’m really enjoying the stay, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Modern spacious room with aircon and comfortable bed ,en suite bathroom/toilet. Excellent location with terrace at back leading directly onto the beach. One of the receptionists Roy was extremely friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty to help provide information about queries I had. Breakfast is served in the room terrace with views into the beach. Adjacent to a less busy bit of Alleppey beach. Several good restaurants/bars nearby.

    Ours was a stopover on the way to Trivandrum. We left around 6.30 am and took the Alleppey Changanachery road. It was a wonderful experience of around 21 KMs straight highway with water on both the sides of the road.

    Trying to choose what boats to rent on line was mind boggling, ask your hotel advise and arrange through them. We found, shikkara boat ride, 14:30 to 18:30, amazing. Then, next day, 11 AM to 5 PM day house boat, also amazing.

    Interesting area, but to be honest everything was the same , coconut trees on the river banks, nothing really to do so a nice time to just relax & watch the world go by but could do it with a day trip

    Some wonderful views. It's a safe area. Some of the prices are very low and the food is excellent. Two days is enough in Kochi, one day enough in Athirapilly, three days Munnar, three days Kumily. We finished off with seven days in Alleppy which was a day too long. Research on accomodation essential. Don't be frightened of homestays or eating out but be careful and wash your hands properly and often especially after handling food. Bargain down trips and purchases but not too much; people are poor and sometimes desperate for work - don't take advantage by arguing ovr £1!!!

    Lakefront experience, inland from Kochi and slightly different. Less infrastructure. Ok place to be if you are not in a hurry. Quite muggy but that is to be expected for the region. If you like the idea of a houseboat, look into it. Land based accommodations are variable.

    Perfect place for our needs. On the beach, close to Alleppey, yet very quiet. Private beach just 50 meters away. We had our room on the 1st floor with a nice terrace to sit and listen to the waves. Delicious food, lady of the house is a master chef! Great Kerala style dinners. Roasted prawns and fish curry are superb. The owners are super friendly and helpful. They arranged us tuktuk, day cruise, taxi when Uber was not working etc. We had great time and recommend Xavier’s Inn warmly.

    The hotel is having specious clean rooms with balcony, bathrooms and ample parking area. The staffs are found polite and helpful every time. A great place to stay for those looking for privacy and peace with approachable major tourist attractions as well as local market. Recently they have started in-house restaurant with limited breakfast and dinner options but the test is very good. Overall, it is a good budget friendly option for those who don’t want to opt houseboat in Alleppey.

    Great location, close to the beach and to the town. We walked quite a lot in Alleppey - it was easier here than in other places in India. The hosts were brilliant and helped us get train tickets to Kochi early the next morning. And the option to order food to the hostel and receive honest reviews of food places around was really great - everyone needs to go to Namaste Tiffin! The room was also gorgeous, one of the most palatial we experienced in India!

    Absolutely loved our stay at paddy n canal in Alleppey Robin is incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was cozy, and the traditional Kerala breakfast they served was delightful. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore the backwaters easily. Boats can reach in front of the homestay.Highly recommend this homestay for Alleppey experience!

    Great location near to boat jetty. Comfortable and clean room, with hot water shower ( on sunny days!) Johnson was welcoming and friendly and the kayak and canoe trips we booked with him were great. Really straightforward and relaxed and at a good price. This is a brilliant place to stay in Alleppey.
