Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.Guest review byJenniferCanada - 10.0

The selection of shops and restaurants really good. Good access to buses and trains. An area for cycling .Pavilion theatre.excellent.You might spot a famous actor in audience. It's an older part of dublin that hasn't been ruined by modern development. Very much a place for the wealthy to live but fun to visit. Wonderful old buildings and still has a village by the sea atmosphere. And easy access to the city on the dart. Amazing beaches, great pubs and places to eat. Would recommend Bi bi’s, The sunshine cafe, O’Loughlins bar, and Two foxes. Forty foot is only a 10 min walk. Dalkey 8 min drive and definitely worth a visit, especially The Queens.Guest review byNoonan - 10.0

Fabulous views overlooking Dun Laoghaire harbour and Dublin Bay. The room itself was compact, but fine for the stay. Very good restaurant on the premises, really enjoyed dinner and a great freshly-cooked breakfast. Literally just two minutes to the Pier walk, great strolling territory.
