A fantastic selection of pubs in Clonmany, although we had two kids with us, so didn't get to try the pubs.. Nearby Ballyliffin (just about walkable, although I didn't try it) is good for restaurants. Nice beaches nearby, but I wasn't sure how safe they were for swimming. Absolutely wonderful waterfall walk within a short drive away. I stayed two nights which was fine for us, but I could have stayed longer. We also visited Doagh Famine Village, the Wild Alpaca Way, Malin Head, the Swan Park, and the Wild Ireland zoo. I can recommend all of them.

I love Clonmany.

I love Clonmany. Tucked away in the north west of Ireland in the county of Donegal surrounded by mountains and the wild Atlantic. It is where my late father was born. I used to holiday there every year until I was 20. For years I never returned holidaying abroad or in England. I returned 3 years ago and felt like I had never left. I discovered places I had never been as a child as I only wanted the beach and to play in the fields. My partner fell in love with Clonmany and Donegal and would like to live there. Clonmany is a quiet place most of the year but the first week in August they have the festival with so many top Irish country music stars. It must now be Ireland's biggest festival.

Clonmany is a small Irish town in Inishowen peninsula.

Clonmany is a small Irish town in Inishowen peninsula. It has a good department store Centra, few good food restaurants. Great and absolutely beautiful beaches nearby by (of course sunny days treat you well). I like the small walk to the waterfall and small ice cream shop at the start of the walk. Around 30mins drive to Malin Head. I liked the Ballyliffin the two next to Clonmany which has a fuel station.

Clonmany,Ballyliffin and surrounding areas are beautiful, scenic, clean, attractive for all age groups. Visit the Glendowen craft and weaving shop on road to Buncrana. Bring your walking gear, extra towel for beach. Bring a high viz jacket if you plan to walk to the hotels after dark. A refreshing break for us, senior citizens, and will return.

Our wee family stayed in the cottage on a wintry week between ice and thunderstorms. Despite this, it was warm, comfortable, inviting and the perfect place for a short break. The hosts were friendly and left us with our privacy, and they had stocked the house up with a few things to make us feel at home, including having the space well heated on arrival. The location is beautiful, with lots of walks and the nearby village of Clonmany is a great destination with a wonderful community-run café and space.

It's such a great place. Little different from your usual hotel or apartment stay. Great communication with the Host. Little gem with an amazing beach view. We weren't lucky with the weather, it was quite cold and windy but we still managed to set up the fire pit, sit outside and enjoy the view. The bus was warm at night.

The location and views. Clean beds and good towels. Shower worked well and was hot. Offered use of pool in local hotel but we didn’t take it up as weather was so good.
