We had an unforgettable stay in this truly unique location, nestled in the heart of Bali’s most stunning natural surroundings. The accommodation is small and wonderfully peaceful, with beautifully crafted bamboo-style rooms that offer both charm and comfort. The pool is a lovely spot to relax, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere. What really sets this place apart, however, is the incredibly warm and attentive staff. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. A particularly touching gesture was when one of the staff members drove all the way back home to fetch traditional clothing for us, so we could attend a Hindu ceremony at a nearby family temple—an experience we’ll never forget. They are also an invaluable source of local knowledge, able to connect you with the very best guides if you’re interested in learning about Balinese customs and history, or if you simply want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sekumpul. The area is breathtaking, with terraced rice fields, lush, aromatic vegetation filled with herbs and fruits, and of course, the magnificent waterfalls that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly—it’s a hidden gem and a perfect retreat for those seeking a genuine and enriching Bali experience.

Brand new (August 2025). Interior and exterior decoration with eye for detail. Great beds. Good breakfast (included !) interesting trips to be done from Lovina and proposed by owner. Very very friendly staff and owner. Recommended !!

+ small hotel in a quiet area - perfect for relaxing + feels like your private hideaway due to few rooms and few guests + Neighbourhood is really local - no issue to get in contact + Good food, even if the menu card is small for understandable reasons. Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali". It is situated in the traditional highland village of Sudaji.. To get to this location you need to make your own transport arrangements to go there and especially leaving is harder as the local Grab App doesn't seem to reach to here. OMunity prepared food is delicious and creative but eating out elsewhere didn't have much choice esp if vegetarian. The ambience is relaxing, friendly and uncrowded. Walking around the neighborhood is pleasant, and there are short road trips with walks or treks to some of the most stunning scenic places in Bali.

Loads to do there, great cheap food, you can get a steak for $4, Lovina is only a few clicks away if you want night life, sunrise lodge and lounge is ace if you like to party, it is what YOU make of it, not them.

I had an excelent time in Pondok Apsari, the view was everything you could've imagine when you want to have a peaceful holiday. It is such a bliss swimming in the pool while watching the sun sets behind the paddy fields.You can even see the sea when there sky is clear. The staff's very helpfull and friendly. The cabin is very clean and comfy and the location is not far if you want to experience Singaraja. It's everything you could hope for in a place to stay.

The best view to jungle, mountain, ocean!!! Good road to hotel. Very big own terrace on second floor with table, chairs, sofa, water cooler. Cheap food in hostels Cafe. Clean room and bed. 500m, easy walking to waterfall. Owner give me id-card for entering to waterfall - so my enter cost 70.000, not 300-400.000 near the ticket office. It's great deal!!! After check out owner gift me herbal tea! Highly recommended!!!!

Good, quiet position a few miles away from the city center of Singaraja (not the prettiest site to visit in northern Bali). The beach is just a short walk away; the local fruit market and one of the most ancient Balinese Hindu temples are nearby. The hotel is good value for money, fine for an overnight stop.

An oasis of comfort in the middle of an Indonesian mountain forest. The staff were all from the local nearby villages, very friendly and helpful. The hotel architecture was distinctive Indonesian style. The infinity pool looks onto the clove and palm tree forest below. A truely beautiful place.

The location is amazing - what I would call a tropical mountain paradise for sure. Nice clean rooms, beautiful pool and waterfalls within 20min of walking to the entrance with discount from the hotel as a bonus.
