We stayed near Agung beach to far away from Lovina beach where there are more options for dining and entertainment. The highlight of our Lovina stay was our trip to Menjangan Island, however it was an hour and a half drive from Lovina. Very quiet and untouched part of Bali. Beautiful, long, near-secluded, coconut-tree-fringed beaches in Kaliasem, just ten minutes out of the main Lovina strip area. Quiet and peaceful little town - reminded us of old Bali, when it was less busy and built-up. Plenty of restaurants and cafes without the hassle and noise of Legian, Seinyak etc. Not the most exciting place to shop, but great for peaceful walks along the beach. Visiting the waterfalls and the temple is just great and riding between the real rice fields is an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and courteous and made a big deal of our arrival. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a villa and the rooms were exceptional. The pool is perfect with regards to size and cleanliness. We were able to arrange outings through the resort which included dolphin watching which is a must.
