Zadar has so much to offer! The airport is just a stone’s throw away, and buses run very frequently, making it super easy to get around. The old town is charming and full of great restaurants where you can enjoy local flavors. Don’t miss the unique Sea Organ and Sun Salutation – they’re truly one-of-a-kind experiences. And of course, the sunsets here are breathtaking! Everything is within walking distance, so exploring is a breeze. The beaches are lovely, though it’s a good idea to bring water shoes for the pebbles – once you’re in, the water is warm and inviting. No worries about big sea creatures either! For a day trip, you can join a tour to the stunning Plitvice Lakes, Kornati Islands, or Krka Waterfalls. A lovely town with plenty to see , including the Sea Organ, Sun Salutation, Roman Forum, view from the Cathedral Tower, the Old Town Vegetable and Fish Markets and meandering through the old streets.. Free local parking. Everywhere accessible. But parking near the old town can be challenging. Ubers very good value. Particularly liked Rosmarino Restaurant in old town. Delicious food and wine. Beautiful old town, I ate in 4 different restaurants and it was all delicious. Definitely go and sit for an hour at sunset at the sea organ, it's an experience I will always remember. It's a very beautiful city, although some of the buildings could use some restoration. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised that the stray cats (the ones I saw) were well cared for, which gave me a positive impression of the city and its people. There's a great market in the city where you can buy fresh fruit, fish, and seafood. The city is quite crowded, and I was there in early September, with many tourists.
