Nice beaches, nice vibes, beautiful buildings/architecture, nice strolls and walks, several cultural and historic references, nice restaurants, friendly people, perfect for a short getaway from Athens. Transportation is tricky though, the only working option is a scooter that needs to be booked much in advance. The lovely authentic town but mainly the lovely authentic people made Spetses special. Take a horse and carriage ride, visit Marina beach (paradise beach) eat ice cream, swim and swim some more! Spetses is a very relaxed island with a picturesque port and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. The beaches are good however unless you have transport there it can be difficult to get to beaches as there is an erratic single private bus service. It's in a very quiet location but extremely central. It's extremely clean and tidy and the pool is wonderful. Breakfast has many options and is served in the pretty garden. Everyone was polite, helpful and smiling. Beds are very comfy and rooms have balconies (which are not very private unfortunately). We used the boat taxis for our transfers, because it was too hot during our stay in Spetses. The hotel has a fantastic view! Our rooms were located in ground floor, but were renovated and were very clean and fully equiped. Breakfast was good too, our kids enjoyed the pancakes so much!
