The hotel is practically placed on the sea -shore and very close to restaurants , supermarkets and the bus-station .It has 2 parkig -areas which for us were excellent because we rented a car. It has a huge ,beautiful and peaceful garden .The staff is friendly and helpful ,always smiling. A great variety of tasteful food at breakfast including traditional dishes .We had only 1 dinner there and it was good. Good restaurant service in a peaceful area near one of the pools and the beautiful garden . Although the place is 35 years -old, it looks new and very clean and is very quiet.

Breakfast beside the pool and beach was awesome. Supermarkets are nearby. Very helpful staffs, allowed for extra time during check-in and check-out, near public transport (k-tel bus stop), near conference hall. Nice location to do walking to nearby areas, gym opens early (6am)

    We went during school holidays so it was pretty busy but the tourist high street was quiet during the day while everyone was on the beach. The food was excellent. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach bars were also good. The Cretans were very friendly and helpful. Crete has plenty of interesting sites to visit both inland and on the coast. We would happily return.

    Plataniás is bustling - very busy full of shops (which are great) and restaurants. There are, unfortunately, too many places serving chips with everything! We wish there had been some more options, i.e. rice, authentic Cretan dishes, taverna based meals, but it is what it is. There was no need for a car - most places were walkable. Our villa was amazing, but we would not return to Plataniás - it seemed to have dropped down a notch since our trip last year. We saw quite a few young (and older) men walking around shirtless and some girls dressed quite inappropriately. I'm not a prude, but it made the area far less salubrious than it should be.

    I don't usually like touristy places but Platanias had a lovely feel about it. Not too many people, although this may have been because we went in September. We visited the War Museum - definitely worth it. Also went to John the Hermit cave and monastery at Kissimo which were unbelievable. Beach was great and snorkeling trip fantastic and well looked after.

    Touristy beach town extending along one road with lots and lots of restaurants, bars, hotels etc. lovely to get away from the road onto the beach. Beach was calmer and more relaxed away from the town centre.

    It’s a great location with its own beach, but also a short driving distance to other fantastic beaches such as Falasarna, Elafonisi, Balos. A lot of food options. Not so much clubbing or night life.

    The beach is nice, one can enjoy both sunrise & sunset at it. Warm waters. You must have beach shoes, as it is mostly made of rocks. You can go around by foot or bus, which runs every 20-30 minutes. Platanias has a good variety of shops, bar, restaurants to choose from, but our favourite by far was the SUN RISE BEACH RESTAURANT. Great food, generous portions, value for money and absolutely friendly team.

    So many things to like! For starters we got a room upgrade which made things so much better for our stay. Every member of staff were friendly and helpful especially at reception and the bar. The all inclusive option was well worth it, highly recommend for families. We were able to use some of the facilities at the hotel right opposite which was lovely. Decent variety of food and drinks. The location was also perfect, lots of shops and restaurants around and only 20-25 mins drive to Chania town.

    The pool was cleaned daily, the flowers throughout the pathways were beautiful, every staff member was friendly and professional, we were given mosquito repellent for the room on request, even a surprise birthday cake for my partner! excellent location really centra in Platanias with excellent bus links for Chania.

    The hotel is well located in an area with many shops and restaurants, and close to Chania. We received an upgrade to a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, which was a delightful surprise and added to our enjoyment of the place. The hotel has many pools.
