We loved swimming/ snorkelling off the rocks to the right of Loutro (facing out to the bay) and probably spent more time in the sea than on land! It's such a lovely place, possibly a bit too busy for my liking (compared to when I was last there 30 years ago!) but I still loved it. The relaxed athomsphere and the silence in Loutro after the day tourist have gone are so great. If you go to Loutro DO NOT forget to bring snorkeling equipment, the crystal clear water and living creatures are so nice. I had a walk/hike up to the ruins of the fortress above Loutro and that was a very interesting place to visit. PS. Please do not carve your name on the walls of the ruin, sadly so many tourist lack respect for historical heritage.Guest review byIdsalNorway - 8.0

It’s a pretty and lively place, only accessible by boat. The town is a nice place to enjoy food and drink. We found Ilios to be the best restaurant and the bar on the far right (looking from the sea) to be an enjoyable place for a drink or two. The best things about the place, for us, were the immediate access to the E4 hiking route and the multiple boat trips to nearby beaches Glika Nera and Marmara. Glika Nera is fabulous if not too crowded. Try the home made Kolokithokeftedes (courgette balls) with a little Tzatziki at the taverna on the jetty. Yum!Guest review byKevinWorrallGreece

The rooms had little balconies with nothing to see but the sea, mountain, sunrise, moonrise! Lovely comfy beds, air con and fridge. Fresh water bottles left each day. We arrived by car via an amazing drive. The host is most welcoming and caring. Food is varied and excellent the sea is beautiful for swimming and a ferry boat berths in front to take you to other beaches/towns if you wish. Clean and comfortable basic accommodation.
