Our stay at Lykos was truly exceptional, thanks to the warm and friendly hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. The hotel is tucked away in a peaceful location, just a short boat ride from Loutro, which has its own unique charm. We spent three blissful days swimming, reading, dining at the lovely restaurant, and stargazing under the serene night sky. It was the perfect place to unwind in one of the most tranquil settings we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. A huge thank you to Pavlos, Hussein, and the wonderful women who worked quietly behind the scenes, making our stay unforgettable.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, new and well renovated, had an amazing view to the sea. Everyone was welcoming and kind. The breakfast itself was quite an experience as well; it included a lot of Cretan specialties. The location was very convenient. I left my car in the hotel parking and then I could walk everywhere in Chora Sfakion in a short distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wow! What an incredible place to stay! The room was quite generously sized, and had plenty of space for 3 people. Gorgeous view, wonderful balcony, and very comfy mattresses. Great bathroom; best shower we had during our 10-day trip to Crete. The hotel restaurant was also delicious. We ate dinner there every night during our 4-night stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

    We loved swimming/ snorkelling off the rocks to the right of Loutro (facing out to the bay) and probably spent more time in the sea than on land! It's such a lovely place, possibly a bit too busy for my liking (compared to when I was last there 30 years ago!) but I still loved it. We liked eating at Stratis taverna, set back from the main sea front. The chicken souvaki there was so so good!

    We were there for 5 days and really enjoyed our time hiking, swimming and just chilling out. It is a very small place so if you are someone who likes lots of shops and people it might not be the place for you or maybe for just the day.

    Liked the colour of the town. Liked all the boats. Liked it could only be accessed by water. Every body seemed to be tourists. Wondered how the few kids around got to school. Food in general didn’t have a great taste. Wine and beer good. Prices higher than Chania

    Loutro is a very nice place to visit for a couple of days...

    Loutro is a very nice place to visit for a couple of days except if one wants to simply relax on the beach. Hikes to Fiona’s and Glyka nera are easily accessible. Good restaurants with local delicacies. Ate at Stratis and Ilios both reasonably priced

    The relaxed athomsphere and the silence in Loutro after the day tourist have gone are so great. If you go to Loutro DO NOT forget to bring snorkeling equipment, the crystal clear water and living creatures are so nice. I had a walk/hike up to the ruins of the fortress above Loutro and that was a very interesting place to visit. PS. Please do not carve your name on the walls of the ruin, sadly so many tourist lack respect for historical heritage.

    It’s a pretty and lively place, only accessible by boat. The town is a nice place to enjoy food and drink. We found Ilios to be the best restaurant and the bar on the far right (looking from the sea) to be an enjoyable place for a drink or two. The best things about the place, for us, were the immediate access to the E4 hiking route and the multiple boat trips to nearby beaches Glika Nera and Marmara. Glika Nera is fabulous if not too crowded. Try the home made Kolokithokeftedes (courgette balls) with a little Tzatziki at the taverna on the jetty. Yum!

    How could you find anything wrong with sitting on a balcony looking at the view of Loutro and feeling you're in a fairy tale? The hotel is extremely clean and well-run. The staff are very friendly and do the best for visitors. Joanna is there with advice on what to do and where to go. The breakfast on the waterfront is very good. We were very happy during our stay and can't wait to return. Be prepared to eat a lot. The Notos restaurant in particular is highly recommended.

    The location is amazing, the room has the view you would look for while staying in Loutro. The room and its bathroom looks very good and nicely renewed and are provided with hair dryer, fridge, some glasses, spoons and cups. We got given some additional dishes from the hosts who is a family having a market too just down the rooms and was very helpful and friendly. We had a very, very good time here!

    Staying at this property for a few nights was such a dream! We spent most of the time on our balcony enjoying the sun and the views and soaking in the lovely vibes. We also enjoyed the hikes to nearby beaches in each direction. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. It was a great time and we would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Loutro

    Excellent location, very peaceful, fantastic for walking. Loutro was, for many years, a great getaway for it all but has now become a bit of a village theme park. Lykos still has some authenticity about it: lots of goats and very little going on.
