I stayed a lot of places in Crete and Emanuela's apartment was by far the most beautiful and useful. Heraklion airport is less than 10 minutes by car. 300 metres away there is a fully equipped and cheap to use municipal beach. By the way, it is also very enjoyable to watch and take photos of the aeroplanes landing frequently at the airport just to the left of the beach. There are all kinds of shops in the neighbourhood, including taverns, markets and bakeries. The large parking space is a great advantage. But the apartment itself is marvellous. Two large bedrooms, spacious living room, fully equipped modern kitchen, complimentary snacks, coffee and water. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and fully automatic washing machine. Every need has been considered and every effort has been made for comfort... Emanuela, the young lady who lives next door, is a friend and a kind person who is ready to help in any way. My mother and I could only stay for two nights, but we would have liked to stay much longer... It was also a pleasure to watch the planes landing on the large veranda. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay - everything was comfortable, enough space, clean and close to the beach. We were specifically looking for a location in Karteros and this was perfect. The hosts were very nice and friendly. When choosing the place, space of the apartment was the key factor - as we stay with 2 kids we had sufficient space to entertain them and cater to their differing sleep regimes (and occasionally even work). Although the place is near the road it was not a problem at all - we had a great sleep.

Great discovery ! Great location, not far from the airport, fantastic pool. The residency is so calm, but transports are nearby (bus literally 4 min away). Karteros' main street provides food and little super markets or beach bar, so everything you need is there. It is possible to go in Heraklion center still. The hotel lets you rent a car and serves drinks.

We booked our taxi through booking.com. it was waiting for us when we arrived.There was air-conditioning throughout. A veranda wrapped around the apartment and all windows had built in mosquito nets, and a number of them had metal.roller blinds outside to give shade. The kitchen had a filter tap, so there was no need to buy bottled water. The freezer had a nifty little icecube tray. There was excellent wifi in the living area but not too good in the bedroom. The good part of this was that the kids were more likely to be with us than hiding out in their rooms. The hosts gifted us vegetables from the garden and olive oil and took us on a supermarket trip to heraklion to stock up. There were 3 smaller supermarkets in karteros and a lovely bakery. The beach was 10 minutes down the hill. Most days, the water was good. for 2 days, the waves were strong.. The walk into Karteros was between 15 and 20 minutes depending how far you wanted to.go. There is a local bus. The tickers were cheaper if you bought them inside the supermarket. We like quieter areas. We were in Kissamos 2 years ago. The streets were so noisy with mopeds and motorbikes 24/7. So the house and area was perfect for our family.

    Karteros is a convenient location, especially because it’s close to the airport. The beach has some organized areas with sunbeds, but it gets very busy during the summer peak season, particularly on Sundays when many locals also head to the beaches. The sunbeds tend to get taken quickly, so if you miss out, you can still relax on the sand—but bringing your own umbrella is a good idea for some shade.

    We were initially reluctant about the close distance between...

    We were initially reluctant about the close distance between the airport and the hotel (due to the low planes) but not only were the planes quite a joy to see but it also gave us more time on our holiday and less time faffing about with transfers. The hotel itself was beautiful and all facilities were immaculate and well thought through. The choice of food and drink throughout our stay was wonderful and varied from one meal/day to the next. The staff were all highly professional, friendly and accommodating and we couldn’t have asked for more other than an extra week! We would highly recommend and would love to come again!

    Close distance to airport,minimarkets and beach,everything you need is clos by. WiFi works literally everywhere even outside by the swimming pool. Stuff very friendly even if you ask silly questions, they are always ready to help! Short distance to Heraklion (you can buy bus tickets for 1,60€ from minimarket next door and bus stop is just 100m from the hotel) from where you can take bus to see Knossos for example,it's 15€ for entry), also when you get off the bus in Heraklion their national museum is right in front of the bus station (12€ entry)

    So the rooms are small, but they're cozy.

    So the rooms are small, but they're cozy. You only need the room to sleep in, and it functions just fine for that. They have a pool, laundry facilities, breakfast, and a balcony to enjoy that beautiful sea breeze. It is located directly across the street from the beach and centrally to multiple mini markets and restaurants. Close to the freeway and airport. And staff is fantastic. Highly recommend!!!!

    No air conditioned in bedrooms ! Only in living room !

    No air conditioned in bedrooms ! Only in living room ! We had to live without sleeping because of the terribile hot. When we asked for our money back, they answered that it was'nt specified that AC was in every rooms but is clear that if the house has 3 floors you can not write that there is AC if only one room has it! We wasted money and time

    Really little city, you can find food, and markets, go to the beach and that really is all. Would recommend going to Heraklion nearby and the whole island for a week stay. (Didn't try the Minoan Experience tho)

    Everything is even better than in the photo, it's so nice here))) The beach is 2 minutes from the house, nearby is the Lidl shopping center where you can shop, a minute from the house you can rent a car) 15 minutes from the city center, a wonderful location, a chic modern design of the house, there is even a summer shower to wash after the beach. And most importantly, incredibly kind hosts who will always help and advise. This is definitely better than a 5-star hotel. Thank you.

    The apartment was very spaceous. Perfect for our family 2+2. good equiped kitchen enabled us to cook breakfasts and dinners. great huge balcony with sea wiev. we spent majoraty of time at a great sandy beach 2 minutes walk from the hotel. love the place. the service was super kind. all of our requests were done imidietly. nice restaurant with delicious Greek food. playground spacy and open whole day. super happy to spend time in Anemos suites. for sure we come back.

    We booked for one night only because our flight was a late flight in, from the UK. The hotel was only 10 - 15 minutes from the airport by taxi, which I also booked on booking.com. The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The owner was still up when we arrived. The breakfast in the morning was great with loads of choices to choose from. I would recommend this hotel and I will book again when we come back as a stop over.

    Recently opened and still pristine, the resort has good design and facilities. The private pool for our room was big enough to take a few strokes (it was bigger than the average). Staff were very friendly and the restaurants were excellent - we particularly liked breakfast in the main restaurant and dinner in the Cretan restaurant. The village of Karteros is nothing special, but Knossos is about 15 minutes away by car.

    the overall aesthetics and decor was lovely, everything was very well appointed and felt luxury. The hotel met the desired effect of a highly rated all inclusive which made the price point worth paying. The staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much work. A special thanks to Olivia and Drita (Restaurant), Pezanaki Fei and Manos (Reception) and Albana (Cleaning) for looking after us so well!
