Gouvia is a village type resort that spiked off the main road to Corfu town . Lots of restaurants and a few bars / motorcycle rentals , supermarkets, tour trips booking centre and apartments and hotels , Everything you need for your hols to hand . The supermarkets are really reasonably priced . The restaurants are plentiful and also priced well . Gouvia is a lovely area, I went with a group of girls in our mid twenties. It was very relaxing and some lovely restaurants (I would really recommend the seafood linguine at 9 muses). Gouvia has some lovely beaches within a couple of minutes of our hotel. It is typically people in their mid 50s but great for a more relaxing, lounge by the pool kind of holiday. We got the bus into the old town or Ipsos to go for drinks/club vibes, which were super easy to navigate and way cheaper than a taxi. We stayed in Gouvia as this was the base for a wedding party. Otherwise may not have chosen to visit, but would not be averse to staying there again for a late season sunshine beach holiday. A number of tavernas were already closing by early/mid October. Nice swimming pool, good breakfast and especially the owners are very helpful and friendly. You will feels like to stay at home. The distance from hotel to Gouvia town is just only 10 minuest walk. We have arrived 2-3 hours before check in time but they let us check in early because the room was ready, which we were so happy. It has air conditioning. You can park your car in their area. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and welcoming. The location is in Gouvia, a town with shops, restaurants and a nearby public beach (not a very nice one, but calm and easily accessible) only a street across.
