Great little house in the beautiful village of Emporios. Kalliopi is a wonderful host and always on standby to help you. The house is fully equipped and clean! We went as a family of 4 and had everything we needed. From Emporios you can go to all the nearby beaches but you need a car or you can have a swim at the village's beach where you can walk from the house! I would suggest it to anyone.. family or not and hope to go back sometime in the future!

Highly recommended. Like staying with your favourite Aunty. So peaceful and yet enough Tavernas nearly and a shop so everything you need is close. We came for 2 days but stayed for 6!

I have been visiting Kalymnos for around 15 years now and have always stayed in Massouri or Armeos. Last year I visited on my honeymoon in early October, during relatively heavy travel restrictions, it was lovely because it was not so busy. This year my wife and I decided to return to Kalymnos to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The place we stayed at last year was booked up and most other places could not accommodate us for the full duration of our trip. Villa Polymnia was one of the few places that was available and I'm extremely glad it was. Staying in Emporios proved to be a dream and Villa Polymnia was the icing on the cake. In all my years of visiting Kalymnos I have not once found what I consider to be a comfortable bed! The mattress at Polymnia was much nicer than any another on the island. Added to that the location was superb. Easy walking distance of beaches and restaurants, of road parking for your hire car and every facility you could need in the villa. Having access to a washing machine was a boon and next time I stay it will mean I can get away with packing fewer clothes. Emporios is a quieter village than Massouri which if you're staying with your partner and wanting to relax, is perfect. There are also several crags within walking distance of the villa and we had several days where we didn't do any driving to go climbing. I'm sure I could go on but I doubt I need to. The place is perfect, just don't book it when I want to stay!

    Emporios is great if you like beautiful and quiet places.

    Emporios is great if you like beautiful and quiet places. It is literally at the end of the road in Kalymnos so very little car or scooter traffic. Lots of restaurants to choose from, a mini mart, a small farm for fresh ingredients and a beautiful beach.

    Beautiful location surrounded by mountains.

    Beautiful location surrounded by mountains. Shingle beach and clear sea. Sun beds, sun umbrellas, tables and chairs. Choice of several tavernas and a fish restaurant. The best undoubtedly is Artistico with superb cooking, friendly owners and occasional evenings with the owner and friends playing guitar.

    More restaurants open since our first visits but the shop is still poorly stocked. Shop before arrival as the village is isolated. Climbing venues nearby are at least 20 mins hard walk and get the sun early. Better options for shade with own transport. Palionisos is great for food and a boat trip to an easy well equipped crag above a lovely beach. Kaliemies (Pirates Bay) nearby highly recommended and friendly/. There is another tiny secluded beach after the Piratyes Bay turning down a similar concrete road which is also worth a viisit.
