At the time of our visit ( 29th Sept - 7th Oct 2025 ) the place was simply perfect, warm / hot sunny days and not overcrowded anywhere. We had a blissful stay and enjoyed the short walks in and out of town ... We also loved the little local 'chugga chug' train round all the bays, fabulous idea and always on time ! I particularly enjoyed feeding all the local cats every evening whilst hubby sat with a glass of wine at a nearby cafe / bar plenty of little supermarkets everywhere, a smaller but ample choice of places to eat, and all of the little bays in Balion were really nice 👍♥️Guest review byMartinGermany - 10.0

This is quite an expensive area to stay in, with no chain supermarkets nearby and fully privatized beaches. However, the surroundings are extremely beautiful. There’s a bakery-coffee shop that’s great for local baked goods and budget-friendly coffees and sandwiches. Bali is a nice place in general - big enough to offer variety of good restaurants, sandy beaches with minimal waves, water sports and other activities (quad tours, day trips); small enough not to feel like in a big city. The apartment itself was not huge, but the space was well used, and the large terrace was an extended lounge space for us. There are 2 sets of doors leading out to it, so we could use it at night without waking our sleeping son. We had the second apartment down from the top. The location of the Villa is also perfect as our favourite beaches in Bali are at the Port and Evita / Karavastasi Bay.
