They value their customers. Staff was very helpful, friendly and happy from reception to breakfast everyone. Our stay at Porto Maltese Boutique Estate was truly exceptional. The suite was beautiful, spacious, and full of character, with a magnificent view over the harbor. The location couldn't have been better — right in the heart of Agios Nikolaos, yet peaceful. The building itself is stunning, with a sense of history and familiarity that immediately makes you feel at home. The people were incredibly welcoming and made our experience even more special. The thing we liked the most is the room view. The hotel is located across the sea front, and sitting on the balcony felt like sitting on the sea. Beside this, hotel is located 10 minute walk from city center (the walk is by the see), and the same distance from one city beach (you can see the beach from the balcony).

    We loved Agios Nicolaos.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day.

    Pleasant and pretty town centre with lovely shops and restaurants with helpful staff everywhere. Awesome beaches, loved the Kimzu beach club and the cute cafe with amazing views next to Votsalo beach. No need to hire a car (we wasted our money) nowhere is lovelier in Crete.

    An interesting town with a wide range of shops, restaurants, harbour, facilities and things to do. Unfortunately it is a victim of its own success, so gets fairly crowded at time and the traffic is busy and not helped by the narrow streets, challenging one way system and limited parking.

    From Almyros beach you can walk to the end of the beach and join a footpath which leads you straight into town. About a 20 minute walk to centre where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Fantastic restaurants and cocktail / wine bars, most doing traditional Greek cuisine. Can’t say we had a bad meal but all display menus so you can pick whatever suits your taste.

    Great location (10-15 walk to the city center). There is nice beach in front of the hotel if you are lazy to go far. Clean and specious room (cleaning service every day), two good pools, no kids, great staff (everyone has been very nice and friendly). About the kitchen: good food, every day different menu for lunch and dinner, a special complement to sweets. Beer and white wine were also good. The only thing we didn’t like - cocktails, really bad quality.

    Very stylish Boutique hotel for Design lovers. Amazing infinity pool with endless views over the blue sea, nice private beach (be prepared that the water is chilly is a cold river from the mountain runs into the sea, quite refreshing), amazing staff and great food. “Paros” is the best suite for couples, great terrace and huge private pool with direct view of Agios Nikolaos and the sunrise in your bed room. Staff is super friendly and goes the extra mile.

    Property is newly renovated and at very nice location with wonderful sea view. It is outside Agios Nikolaos town, and you need to have a car ... but you anyhow should have car because Crete island is wonderful place to visit and to see. Dimitris (professor of Physics!) is perfect host. One morning we got up eartly to watch sunrise. It was beautiful. But all other hotel guests were awake watching it... :-)
