Loved the small town and very friendly shopkeepers/restaurant staff etc. It was very easy to become familiar with the area. The port was very pretty and overall it was very clean in the tourist areas. The bus was handy and ran to schedule. The restaurants were great, reasonably priced, good quality food. Ferry arrives there and most boat services leave from there.
Ferry arrives there and most boat services leave from there. Easy to get a taxi or rent a car to go to beaches on other side of island. Charming restaurants with water-side seating if you go to the right (back to the sea), along the oceanside promenade/road. I’d recommend staying closer to Adamantas or in a villa up on the hill (10-20mins walking distance) as opposed to Apollonia. Perfect size village, plenty of restaurants, shops, beaches and little grocery stores. I had a catamaran day around the island. So happy I did this. Trinity Yachting was top notch, breakfast, lunch and stops to swim. I also rented a car to tour around to all little villages. Another must do! Klima, Mandrakia, Pollonia, Sarakiniko beach and Plaka were so amazing. Easy to navigate, just a map, no GPS. The sunset at Plaka was amazing. I will definitely be back. Best times to visit are in May or Sept-Oct. I hear it gets very busy in high season. I visited in May and it was perfect!Guest review byJoanne
