Special mention to L'Autre Version, which has been totally renovated, is under new management, and has an amazing menu and wine list. Enjoyed the fact that it was not a big crowded resort- 8 bungalows and 3 apartments in the main building meant small amount of guests; safe, gated enviroment where privacy and laid back, leisurely passtime was possible. Only drawback, for those who are beach lovers,, the best beach was at the village of St. Anne, about 15-20 minutes drive away, but worth the drive! However, a short drive into Saint-Francois where there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We loved our location away from traffic and noise.
We loved our location away from traffic and noise. Saint Francois has everything we needed including easy access to the rest of the island of Grande Terre. Lovely restaurants on the marina and nightlife if that's what you want. We have visited St. Francois 3 times and keep coming back. Although the town is not too large it has plenty of restaurants and boats to the other islands run daily. We were met upon arrival for a full explanation of the hotel and its facilities by a lovely woman named Katia. The rooms were so clean and well-equipped, the pool was fantastic to swim in, and the restaurant was delicious.
