Withernsea for us was ok. The resort itself seems to have been left behind but as a town it's got all you need. Good base to visit other seaside places. In the evening the place is quiet and empty. Withernsea in early July was quiet, beaches fairly empty and easy to travel to. Reason for neutral review is we found it too run down with a kind of lack of care feel e.g. paths in town areas not cleaned well, not many shop choices to visit. Lovely and quiet.
Lovely and quiet. Went out of season so no kids and hardly any visitors. People very polite and welcoming. Nice restaurants and pubs. Easy drive to get to places like Hornsea etc, if you want to travel a bit further out to see other places. I would recommend for people wanting a very relaxing and peaceful get-away.
