Best location for exploring Dartmoor with dogs. Amazing walks from the house. Woodburning stove amazing. We were just happy, and relaxed and destressed, by the end of our stay. So result, thank you.

Linda and Aidan were the consumate hosts - welcoming and friendly, and very, very flexible and helpful. They don't serve evening meals, but provided some great advice on places to eat locally; there are places within easy walking distance. The breakfast is definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had - really nice locally sourced produce cooked to absolute perfection. We would support Aidan's claim to the best scrambled eggs in the world! We were house hunting and were so impressed with our first stay we went back when we returned to the area the following week. They even accommodated us for a second night after we arrived when we wanted to stay in the area for an extra day 'on spec'. We would definitely recommend and will certainly stay again next time we are in the area.

    The property is in Tavistock, Whitchurch is the next village. I came over the countryside/moors, it is wonderful. I was only there for one night and did not explore the location, so I had a snack in my room and relaxed. I had a lovely nights sleep in a large comfortable bed.
