The reason for our trip was to show off the Cotswolds to American visitors/friends and we took a lovely long walk over the hill of Weston Subedge an visited Bourton on the water with them. So the location was excellent for visiting nearby villages.

This is a great location for visiting some of the autumn highlights of the Cotswolds. We included Hidcote Manor and Snowshill National Trust properties, Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Batsford Arboretum and Morton-in-Marsh. The countryside is beautiful and the roads quiet. A great short break. We stayed one night at the Seagrave Arms and enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. We took lunch at the Horse and Hound in Broadway including a wonderful pint of Abbot.

A quiet rural town with country walks and a interesting church and churchyard. Friendly locals happy to have a chat. Several road closures nearby but plenty of country lanes with sat nav showing alternatives. local pub had a geat atmosphere where locals come to meet each other.

A pretty village, ideal for setting off from to the rest of The Cotswold famous towns and villages. Chipping Camden, Broadway, Batsford Arboretum Bourton on the Water, The Slaughters, Burford and lots more besides.Weston Subedge is a pretty village in itself with some walks around it and beyond. There was a pub in the Village - looked very nice but we didn't actually go in to it as we self catered! A lovely few days and may well return in the future.

Residents clearly took pride in their village with a sense of community. The Village Bar was a little jem with great food and warm, friendly welcoming staff. Only managed to enjoy the hospitality three times during our stay, but were welcomed as locals.

Alex and her team were fantastic. It was Easter when we stayed and Alex had friend and family stopping at her hotel but we were still made to feel included and really at home. Had dinner there which was excellent and breakfast was really good!!. Lots of local produce and and plenty of it. I couldn't eat all mine, and that's saying something Would definitely stay again. Lots of places to visit too, so a great location to stay

The food was excellent. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings and both the quality and presentation were first class. Breakfast on both mornings was again excellent, with a good choice for different breakfast appetites. Alex and her staff were helpful and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Weston Subedge was a lovely village, ideally located near Chipping Camden and Broadway.

I like the style, bed was comfortable room was cosy and I liked the fact that the hotel was out of the way as it’s nice to get away from my busy life and relax and chill out. Breakfast was delicious and stuff were very friendly,
