Beatiful old world inn in a peaceful location. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Food was top quality and reasonably priced. Add the very friendly and helpful staff to this and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks for a great stay.

An amazing facility set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside: this is a former public house converted to the most modern standard. The guest accommodation is secure and private, is fully equipped, and even has its own gym & sauna. The Barge Inn is a little Paradise with the friendliest People. The Room was huge and a perfect Mix of beautyful renovated old and modern. I heard they sometimes host music Festivals (check their website). No idea if it can get loud then but as we were there it was super quiet at night and we slept wonderful. The Bed was big and very comfortable. I have to eat glutenfree and they offered me many options for breakfast (GF Granola, Cornflakes, Bread..) and a full english Breakfast. Also our dog was very welcomed. Even in the bar. We were so happy and already make plans to come back once for longer.

The location of this place is delightful. Its got the feel of being remote, yet with the canal, a lovely cafe, pub and farm shop all in walking distance as well as being close to beautiful historic sites. Camilla was so welcoming and accommodating, and made us feel at home. Highly recommend to anyone and would definitely visit again.

The welcome was so warm, the family are so lovely and cannot do enough for you. We all also absolutely loved the huge bath and bathroom. Cracking sleep in comfy bed and delicious brekkie.

    Great off the beaten path to go away from the overfill of...

    Great off the beaten path to go away from the overfill of local tourist spots, yet you can relax here away from other tourists in the evening. Locals who work and venture into the pub are more than friendly to talk with you to give you the local good info of where or how to explore the region. I give this village a two thumbs up and will return again.
