Sedgefield is a foodies place, pubs and restaurants all within a few yards of each other. It was good to have a different place to eat each evening. It is also very pretty with the little church and the bells

Lovely town, good range of restaurants and lots of things of historic interest in the locality to explore. A short drive from town centre and you are into some lovely countryside. . Sedgefield racecourse was really good day out, very friendly and free parking.

    Great location and lovely grounds.

Great location and lovely grounds. Tired and dated hotel room, dirty and not what I expect especially when I’ve paid over £200 for the night. The reception team were rarely visible. Couldn’t get food on arrival as they serve afternoon tea to outside guests and the tables were reserved or taken. I had a ground floor room with a lake view and the wedding marquee was situated there, the music was loud as where the guests and they all seemed to have a lovely time and I’m glad however, the wedding went on until the early hours and the noise made it impossible for me to sleep.

Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Location & grounds of the Hardwick Hall Hotel are second to none, Outstanding. The food in the Restaurant was also exceptional. The room I stayed in was a little tired. The shower leaked onto the floor, not all the lights worked in the bathroom. The room was generally very warm, even with the window open fully & the fan on..

Sedgefield is a lovely little village with a busy High street, there's a choice if cafes and pubs all serving good choices of food and drinks. Also there's a few interesting little shops, Bettys Boudoir and Peridot. There's a beauty rooms a craft beer shop. Amongst other things. There's some good walking too.

The location was ideal for us as we were there for a celebration of life of a family members passing. We decided to stay at the hotel so we could both have a few drinks & a meal & catch up with family members. The breakfast the next morning was help yourself with lots of choices. Before leaving we had a walk round round the lake & grounds.

This was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel. Every member of staff that we met was helpful and pleasant. We encountered a problem that was not of the hotel’s making, which was responded to very promptly and fully. Very good breakfast which was served with a smile. Definitely would like to return to explore the area more.

The cottage is very very comfortable and clean, ideal for our 3 night stay. Our hosts, the owners, were very kind and helpful and as it is a working farm we had the chance to see the cows including a newly born calf. The town of Sedgefield has excellent pubs, restaraunts etc. It was a real pleasure being there.

Location is excellent. Easy to find . Sedgefield is a lovely little place with some small independent shops and some other cafes/ restaurants if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. Quiet and lovely for a walk around.
