Staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, I ended up being a couple hours earlier in selby than I first thought. When I let them know, they made sure to push my room clean forward so I could check in a little earlier than I expected.

    This is a well equipped cottage in a beautiful rural setting. Parking is excellent. Great location for exploring local area and for walking by the river. No outside dining seating or garden, but there is a garden bench . Highly recommend Bishops in Howden for best Sunday Lunch ever, with giant Yorkshire Puddings. Badger and Bean in the Market Place do great coffee and light snacks. Make Sure you walk round the park and visit the Minster as a ‘must do’. You wont be disappointed! İ am proud to say İ was born and bred in Howden.

    Staff great. Food great. Room and room facilities great.

    Staff great. Food great. Room and room facilities great. Dining room and lounges great. Bar prices reasonable. Unfortunately it's in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing to do once you have walked round the gardens. It has a heated outdoor pool if the weather is right. Plenty of parking space. Would probably be great venue for weddings and other celebrations, or any group where you can make your own entertainment. Bar does not have real ale. Bricklayer's Arms is the nearest local pub and does have real ale, great food and a wonderfully friendly clientelle. It's really far too far to walk to, we tried it, and taxis locally are almost impossible to find.

    This hotel is perfect for a relaxing get away.

    This hotel is perfect for a relaxing get away. We didn't venture far from the hotel. We stayed to enjoy the restaurant (the evening meal was amazing) and a few drinks in the cosy bar area. The staff were all lovely, helpful, friendly and accommodating.
