There’s access to lots of coves and beaches but in the August heatwave we loved the cooler harbours at Porthleven and Mousehole (where the carnival was in full swing). Sadly St Ives was too packed to park as where Hayle and Carbis Bay, they seemed lovely but we’d stick to the South coast if we went again. Thankfully we’d hired a car (with aircon) so we really got about a bit. Try out the Coach and Horses just across the road for value for money whilst the aptly titled Packet Inn was a bit more ‘up market’. KC Fish and Chips across the road was also good. If you’re so inclined the coastal path runs nearby and you can walk down to Kenneggy Cove. Alternatively hop in the car and St Michael’s Mount and the beach are a few minutes drive.Guest review byMister BrianUnited Kingdom
