    Rottingdean is picturesque.

Rottingdean is picturesque. Little streets with old pubs, houses and a church. The windmill is gorgeous. Beaches have great walkways for kids, plus they are wheelchair accessible. Also loads of areas for walking up the hills with great views.

We personally like the history surrounding Rottingdean - there's so much for those interested. There is a good regular supply of buses, whether to Brighton or Eastbourne or other destinations, with a bus stop conveniently near, also good walks along the cliff top or the undercliffs.

What a charming place to spend the day.

What a charming place to spend the day. We strolled around Kiplings Garden and got to go inside a windmill! Loved the exhibition at The Grange too. A good selection of traditional pubs with amazing gardens and one with a view of the duck pond on the green. Had a dip in the Art Deco Lido at Saltdean too. Great cafes and places for breakfast and afternoon tea too. Lots of vegan options. A real gem away from the hustle and bustle of Brighton.

I grew up in Rottingdean although haven't returned for several decades. It is still a delightful village, especially around the green and pond. A lot less the victim of too much tourism which affects Brighton itself. Easy transport connections along the coast in both directions. I will be sure to return a lot sooner than before.

A lovely area with plenty to do - just down the coast from the bustle of Brighton and Worthing. Great beach and seaside town with plenty of independent shops to explore - also ideal if you want a base to go hiking in the Sussex countryside.

    An exceptional hotel.

An exceptional hotel. From the moment you step through the doors you know that this hotel is special. That impression remains throughout the stay. The rooms, the staff, the food and the service are 5 star. We have stayed in many hotels around the country, and The White Horses is up there with the best. Well done and thank you to all involved for our wonderful stay.

Great location, we loved our room with sea views and balcony and the breakfast selection was really good. The team were friendly and welcoming. A lot of money has been invested into the hotel and it has a lovely ambiance. We will definitely return.

I had a great stay at the studio. The location close to Rottingdean and within very easy reach to public transport to reach Brighton was ideal. The studio itself is well equipped, cosy and comfortable.

The apartment is small but it had everything that we needed for a week's stay in the Brighton area. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking distance of Rottingdean village centre.
